Bob, complicated questions. "Is it virtuous?" The answer always is: it depends on the circumstances and the intentions of the moral agent. So neither you nor I can answer that question for a woman. Any woman.

As for pregnancy being natural, I pointed out that so is (spontaneous) abortion, so that's a wash. Besides, "live according to nature" definitely does *not* mean that whatever is natural is good.

Yes, Stoicism is an individual philosophy, not the basis for a public policy. I pointed out before that that's a major weakness of Stoicism.
