Bob, you can certainly make that argument. But the fact remains that such concern with others is limited to the individual level, not the political one. I wish it were otherwise, but my readings of the texts as well as of the pertinent scholarship have made that abundantly clear.

That doesn’t mean Stoicism is not a great and very useful philosophy. It means we need to integrate it with other considerations if we really want justice at the societal, and not just the individual level.
