Doug, as you might expect, I don't find that sort of response convincing at all.
The fact that Pyrrhonists use multiple criteria doesn't imply that one of them -- the one we are talking about, customs and traditions -- isn't deeply flawed.
You assume that customs and traditions are mostly or exclusively the result of experience. They are not. They also reflect misconceptions, prejudices and downright bad understanding of how the world works.
The problem with the word "dogma" is that you use it also for considered, evidence-based notions that are hold tentatively. I think those kinds of "dogmas" are the best source of innovation and progress.
I'm sure your experience with local politics has been bad. But you know as well as I do that had we left things up to customs and traditions we would still have salvery, women wouldn't count for nothing, and so forth.
I don't doubt that the history of Pyrrhonism is full of reasoning and grounding. But based on what? If a major source are customs and traditions I'm afraid such reasoning and grounding won't stand up to scrutiny.
Finally, you seem to pick and choose at your pleasure when you mention the current war. The anti-war movement is based on custom? I don't think so. Russians have a long custom of taking over other people, whether they claim that they are brothers or not.
