Hermes, let's try it another way.

I'm pretty sure we agree that the idea that the Earth is flat is wrong. And yet, it "works" very well as a first approximation.

Similarly, the Newtonian conception of space-time is flat-out wrong. And yet it's good enough to guide us in sending rockets to Mars.

Also, I'm sorry but incompleteness is just another way to say not good enough.
