Hermes, you keep misunderstanding what I write. I don’t deny the centrality of mathematics to science. I am a scientist, I know that.

I am denying that mathematics reduces to its usefulness to science. What you are doing is similar to arguing that logic is a science because it is useful in the sciences. It’s a non sequitur.

Also, there is no war between science and philosophy, except as it is waged by a few misguided souls like DeGrasse Tyson and Dawkins.
