I agree with the first part, not the second. Yes, we are certainly built on the back of evolutionary biology. But we are equally clearly far more than social primates. The introduction of language has changed the game, propelling cultural evolution in directions that biological evolution would have never explored. Meaning, philosophy, art, music, science, and so forth are fundamental to who we are, and are not reducible to simple survival and reproduction.
