I don't disagree with a lot of what you say. But belief, in my book, has to be warranted. If not, then it's faith. And I don't trust faith.

There are very good answers to Pascal's wager. And it's interesting that though James wanted to make a general case against Clifford, he ended up with only one potential example: his own religious faith. How curious. And convenient.
