J, very good points. Though in the US the letter was not introduced as “JK Rowland & co.” Still, I find it problematic that someone would agree with the content of a letter but regret it afterward on the basis of who signed it. I often don’t see eye to eye with many of the signatories of the letter (Pinker, Haidt), but I would have gladly signed it nevertheless.
