Kyle, that sounds like Ayn Rand-style “morality,” and it is rejected by most people, and certainly by most moral philosophers. There are circumstances where people willingly risk their lives for strangers — soldiers, firemen, regular people trying to save someone from drowning — that are clearly morally praiseworthy.
