MPassey, what Stoicism offers is a philosohpy of life, which you can’t derive from science. Ought, not just is. But one of the advantages of Stoicism compared to other philosophical (and especially religious) traditions is that it is built in order to adapt to new scientific discoveries, since Stoics value “physics,” i.e., natural science.
