Neil, thanks for your comments. What you make does present a version of Buddhism that appears to be compatible with modern science. But as you say, there are many versions of the philosophy, some of which are decidedly more religious, or even mystical than others. And some that are completely secular. We should really talk of Buddhisms, in the plural!
