Renato, there are always elements of one philosophy that can be picked up and incorporated into another. Indeed, every philosophy, including Stoicism, begins by reworking previous ideas and adding new ones.

But one cannot, ultimately, be both an Epicurean and a Stoic, because at some level the two approaches clash.

Also, it is more difficult than people tend to think to incorporate elements from disparate philosophies and still maintain internal coherence.
