Stephen, I probably didn’t explain myself clearly, because you seem to be misunderstanding what the Stoics mean. This has nothing to do with the law, we are talking about ethics, not legality.

As for Auschwitz, again, that’s not the point. Not Stoic would say that the Holocaust was not horrible or that people should not fight against that sort of thing. All we are saying is that those who perpetrated it actually thought they had good reasons. They were absolutely mistaken about it. But such is the human condition.
