Stephen, right, a lot of what people think they “know” is actually based on having read or heard about it. Plato was one of the first to point this out.

As for god, well, according to Einstein’s epistemology (which I endorse) you don’t actually know that it exists. You have faith that it does. Of course you could also say that you are using the word “know” in a difference sense, and that’s fine. But why not just say that you have faith?
