Steve, you are incorrect about your theory concerning scientism. The term is very old, and was initially used in a neutral fashion, to simply indicate something rooted in science. Internet whining has nothing to do with it.Part of chemistry are certainly profoundly practical. But definitely not science in general. I fail to see what that has to do with the issue at hand, though.Talk of whinies and snowflakes is entirely unhelpful. We are having a discussion about the limits, if any, of science, the nature of knowledge, and whether demarcation or integrationist approaches to the various disciplines are most prolific. And you are incorrect again, there very much is there, there, whether you want to see it or not.
