Steven, how are determinism and causality not testable?

Determinism (or not) results from our theories in fundamental physics. And cause and effect is tested every time you do something and something else happens as a result.

Unless you are going Humean on me. But that wouldn't be tenable, because Hume has no way to distinguish between causation and correlation.
