Okay, from one of your definitions: “a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.” Right. Science does not produce complete certainty (unlike math and logic, because they are close, deductive systems). It produces a range of probabilities, aiming at high or very high, but not always succeeding. I think that’s a fair statement of what science accomplishes.

Sure, if by opinion one means a hunch or guess then no, science is not in that business.
