Well, as I write in the article, it is a problem to judge the past by modern standards. But there is also value in updating the past so to incorporate modern standards. In the case of Stoicism, justice is one of the four cardinal virtues, so it doesn't seem much of a stretch to incorporate concerns with inequality into modern Stoicism, regardless of whether the ancient Stoics took them into account or not.
