Wow, I did not expect the comment to go "but you did a horrible job"!

However, no, philosophy isn't "supposed" to be about universal truths. That's one way to consider philosophy, which Aristotle certainly defended, and Kant agree on. But it's not the only way.

For instance, virtue ethical traditions emphasize that the answer to real-life, complex questions often is "it depends" on the specific circumstances.
